                                                            Non Fiction Response

The article dangerous crossing by Patrica Smith is trying to convince everyone that Cubans are having a difficult life. she shows why they are coming to the united states of America. many people are leaving from Cuba to Florida and new jersey. they are doing this in shark infested waters with old boats made with tires. this is because they do not have many good traveling devises. it is a very dangerous place in Cuba. and has basically been frozen since the Cuban revolution in 1959. there is a big debate about the time to lift the embargo which is making life for Cubans difficult.

I think that the author is trying to say that Cubans are having a different life. i also think that they are also having a difficult life because of the embargo. she supports it by saying that Cubans are  going to the united states to be safer. i also think they want more peace and it shows how Cuba is being destroyed.

considering what i just read about Cubans have to do to be in a safer place is beyond me. i think they must have a lot of confidence. but this brings up some questions about why they had to come to the united states of America instead of going to any other country. i think that the author is now trying to show that the united states is a better place for some of the scared Cubans who are desperate for a nice home or shelter. i think that the author also wanted us to think about how they wanted the USA and Cubans to have peace after the final war.
